A great place for family hangout. The playground is fairly priced and managed by attentive, resourceful staff, which makes it perfect for kids. Despite the high traffic, service was surprisingly quick and efficient, which we really appreciated. The only area that fell short was the food, which didn’t quite meet our expectations. Still, the overall experience was wonderful, and we left feeling satisfied. A great choice for families who want fun, relaxation, and memorable moments together.
It's a complex with great activities and even more potential Thanks a lot Captain Sheilah and your team for the excellent service today despite numbers - keep up
We had a birthday lunch here, and the service was great. I called about two hours before to request a cake and by the time we got there, they had a table ready for us. The food platter is well worth it, we couldn't even finish and everything was well done. The cake was nice. The only downside was the guy with the trumpet. He was really insisting on getting money from us. We didn't ask him to trumpet or even asked the restaurant to sing while bringing out the cake. After the waiters left, the trumpet guy insisted on staying at our table. At first, we thought he wanted cake, which we served him a slice. He left then came back to say how business has been down and things are bad even on weekends and was insisting on money. We ended up giving him because even when we were walking out, he was still on our case. I don't mind tipping for service, but it's not good to put so much pressure. It really reduced the quality of our experience.
Veronica the waiter has a good heart and nice service and the place wow
The kids visiting Stedmak gardens and the Zoo was was a highlight of their day. The Stedmak guide really helped tell us the names of the different animals, where they came from, their habits, and fun facts the kids could relate to. There was also a Hyena with depression whoch everybody felt bad for, the guide mentioned it needs friends. One of the kids asked if it was sad. The guide said “yes, it needs a friend." After the zoo, we ate and drinks at the floating restaurant, which was fun, and probably would be even more fun in the evening. Stedmak is like a conversation, play park, restaurant, hotel and zoo in one, sounds random but it works for the African family. Where else can you see a lion, sip a beer on a rig, and watch your kids burn off sugar in a bouncing play park or swimmimg pool? It’s a lot in one space but if you want a full day out without driving around Nairobi, it works. Just go in knowing what you’re getting: African band, good vibes, funny pigeons, a depressed hyena animals, and some great photo opportunities.
The entire gardens is fun for all ages and opens at 9am. it’s easily accessible and has all amenities in one. Talk about the service from Brian our server , heated pool and the floating restaurant. VR is ksh 500 for 5min . We had so much fun and we will return since we need to explore all areas The only draw back is leftover takeaway container is charged on the customer @70ksh a piece.
The family-friendly Stedmak Gardens And Recreation Centre also features a garden, a picnic area, and concierge services. An airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and an area shuttle are available for a fee. Self parking is free. To add onto that the centre has a heated swimming pool.
Great place to relax on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Expansive - there is a kids' play area, complete with a giant slide, a heated pool, several restaurants including floating restaurant and boat-rides. I'm not sure if this is the case every day/night, but when I visited, there was also a live band.
